Since 2013 we have been an approved and fully licenced bed & mattress recycler for the Cork city & Cork County councils, aswell as working closely with national furniture retailers, hotels, responsible household consumers & other businesses to reduce beds and mattresses going for incineration & landfill. Through our labour intensive manual recycling methods we ensure the highest percentage of bed & mattress materials(up to 90%!!) are reclaimed and recycled for use in various different industries, all while creating meaningful employment for people who need it the most!

Our Obligation as Consumers

Each year over 150,000 tonnes of mattresses are sent to landfill. Others are incinerated or dumped on vacant properties & scattered around our beautiful Irish countryside! This is a crime against the environment that we are simply not willing to ignore. We all have a duty as consumers to make responsible choices in order to protect the planet & keep it clean for our future generations. Mattresses that go to landfills can take over 100 years to break down & decompose, but despite looking old & dirty many of the materials mattresses are made from are renewable materials that can be processed & turned into useful items. That’s why we have made it our mission to provide our customers with an ethical & affordable service, so they can sleep at night knowing they’re contributing to a reduced dependancy on landfill & incineration, which in turn helps our forests, rivers, lakes & wetlands remain homes to a large diversity or Irish plant and animal species.

General
Unfortunately, it is not always possible for you to select a preferred collection date, However, our team always do our absolute best to come up with arrangements that will work for you.
Yes! You will find us at eircode T23 PT6T. Our opening hours and Monday to Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm. Drop offs don’t require a booking, however if you are a commercial customer or have a large quantity of beds & mattresses to recycle we ask you to kindly give us a call in advance.
Unfortunately, Mattresses & Beds that have been left outside for long periods or that have been soaked through by the elements cannot be collected. If you mattress gets slightly damp as it has been left out a few hours for collection this is okay, we have the ability to dry this out at our recycling facility before the deconstruction process begins.
Of course we always do our best to send a van & 2 men for your collection. Our customers usually prefer the ground floor pick up, however if you do require our team to enter your home we ask that all pathways are made clear ahead of time. We do the heavy lifting so you don’t have to.
Unfortunately, Due to logistics It is not always possible to give an exact time for collection but we are happy to give you an estimated time if requested(usually a 2 hours window) If you cannot be at home during this time once it is confirmed you have made payment remotely, it could be an option for you to leave your mattress/bed outside for pick up(Weather dependent).
Payment
Our dedicated team spend countless hours on the road weekly, transporting your old beds & mattresses back to our recycling facility in Cork where they are deconstructed by hand for recycling. This is a labour intensive, messy, time consuming process. That said, we are sure you would agree it is worth it to ensure old mattresses & beds are not going to landfill or incineration!
Thats no problem! Once remote payment has been arranged items can be left outside(Weather dependent) or it an accessible space(Shed, Garage or porch) for collection. whatever you decide, just let us know and we can pass the message on to our collection team.
Sure thing! We ask that you call our office as soon as possible in order to get items added or removed from your current order.
This requires direct contact with our office at minimum 24hrs before your scheduled date. We can then advise you on the next available date for your area and reschedule your booking for you.
We can accept cash or card if you are dropping off your old mattress & bed at our recycling facility. If you require our collection service, You can make payment through our website or alternatively pay the driver cash or card on collection.
